Old tank

I can't believe that i've been walking past this object for the last two weeks while i've been on "chicken duty." I probably noticed it today because I took a different route back through the garden and field that separates our houses.

It's old, big and heavy. Has wonderful colour and texture. I think it's an old kind of water barrel judging by the outlet on the bottom. I suppose it could have started off life as a water tank in someone's house and then got turfed out when the house was modernised.
