Goldfinches on Niger Seed

It's been lovely to see this family of goldfinches being reared locally. The male has spent all summer singing from the tv aerial and now that all the babies are fledged they still seem to enjoy family times together. I think this might be a youngster as it doesn't have the bright yellow wing flashes of the mature bird(s).

A morning spent sorting out possible prints to include in a Christmas selling exhibition in Penistone Church called `Art at the Altar'. Followed by an afternoon trip to deliver the application and do a bit of shopping.

Weather cold and misty here this morning as the weather rolled in off the Pennine hills - apparently Sheffield was sunny this morning. Slightly brighter this afternoon with just a hint of the sun up above.
