Uluru Rock Paintings
We are back from our wonderful trip to Australia and New Zealand. What beautiful countries they both are and such kind people we met everywhere we went. It was a dream trip and I am going to back blip the adventure in my Blip Journal. I encountered technical difficulties and once we got to Uluru I decided instead of fighting and spending hours each night, I would back blip. This may take awhile but a great way for me to remember and re-enjoy the trip.
There were so many highlights. The Blip Highs were in Los Angeles and I again want to thank Carolinav, California Girl, and her husband for spending the day with us at the Getty. Feathers from Sydney noticed I was traveling in Australia and arranged another perfect Blipday in her beautiful suburb of Sydney. Blippers are the best and I mean it when I say if you ever find yourself in Atlanta It would be an honor to play hostess.
We joined an escorted group in Melbourne and spent 21 days with 37 of the nicest travelers one can imagine. The tour itself took us to places we never would have done on our own and each day was an exciting adventure. The only drama was the excitement of Australia and New Zealand.
The photo of the day is of Aboriginal Drawings. We were told that What looked to me like a head with hair was a symbol to honor women who became mature and the “hair” was an interpretation of the grass skirt she could now wear.
I was fascinated by the culture and the traditions as told to us by our interpreter.
We left by plane to Great Barrier Reef.
