Not again.

Sorry Mr C but they are so cute, and quite obliging when it comes to photographs!

A beautiful cold frosty morning for a visit to Golden Acre Park, and the Yorkshire Wildlife Reserve at Adel Dam.
Just managed to find a place in the car park, as there were lots of young families  also enjoying the sunny weather.

Our highlight today was seeing the kingfisher again, although at the far end of the dam. Spectacular vivid colours as the sun shone directly on to him as he dived for fish.
What really made it for us though was sharing the joy and excitement of a lady from Norway who, with the help of our binoculars, saw a kingfisher for the very first time. Something she said her father had always wanted to see.
She couldn't wait to tell him!
As we got chatting she said she was only here for a few months, and couldn't believe how cheap everything was! Not something we hear very often.
Although the reserve is managed by Yorkshire Wildlife you don't have to be a member to look round. Their reserves are open to everyone, and are FREE.

After a walk through the woods we finished off as usual with a coffee at the cafe.  It may be late November, but there were a lot of people sat outside on the terrace, enjoying the sun.

Not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning!
