Just sleeping

In NOLA for Thanksgiving. Nona survived her chemotherapy, but at the end of it, she had to undergo an emergency hernia operation. She was not doing well, so we went to see them for Thanksgiving instead of having them come to us, as planned.

I hated having to grade student papers every free minute. More and more often i wonder just how much is a PhD worth, in terms of life costs. It better pay off, because I have missed so much of my life while working on it.
