A birthday gift mum receive from her sister - a beautifully hand felted scarf made from NZ Merino Wool and Pure Silk. Mum's sister didn't make it but it came from a small town close to where Mum and her sister lived. Its soft, warm and vibrant and looks beautiful on Mum.

After that wonderful blue sky of yesterday we had bitterly cold winds and rain today and only 11C - brrr!! Daughter A flew back to Wellington later in the day and the house has become ever so quiet again - not sure I like this 'empty nest' idea.

Apologies for not being round as much lately, I've been blipping but finding less time available for commenting, trying to find a happy medium between here and home life but have not struck gold as yet. A new week and hopefully some good weather as my garden still beckons with many weeds to be pulled and discarded - I'll try to ease of the flower blips, I do tend to get trapped into blipping the same thing.

Time to go now, as its Tuesday mid morning, plenty of jobs to be done before the day is over - this is another backblip........
