Our romantic villa - MM201

We were due to transfer to Ubud in central Bali, but Mt Agung's emissions are getting worse and there's the expectation that there will be a major eruption very soon. Ubud is 30 km away from the volcano, we thought that it wouldn't be wise to get closer. KLM overnight said they wouldn't fly from Singapore to Denpasar and back until Thursday (their flights are nightflights and they think that's not safe right now as it will be hard to detect the ashes in the sky in the dark) and this morning Denpasar's airport was closed for the time being because of the ashes. So we're stranded, but as comfortable as can be ! Nusa Dua is some 60 km away from the volcano, so we're really not in any danger. Just hoping to be able to fly out by Thursday as originally planned or Friday, but if it's not possible we'll just stay a little longer. Keeping our fingers firmly crossed for all the Balinese evacuees and everybody affected.

So, we asked to stay a little longer here in this villa complex instead of going to their counterpart in Ubud and they were very accommodating.
The villa we were staying in is booked specifically by other visitors, so we got transferred to an even nicer villa ! This one has the swimming pool right outside the sliding doors of the bedroom !
