Lost the battle with the gout....didn't sleep a wink last night because of the pain.....didn't get to work today....it took me until 6.00 this evening to get the pain under control...after a day of sitting with a raised leg and Ibuprofen I eventually used a cocktail of Ibuprofen and Solpadeine. Probably not the best idea to mix painkillers/anti-inflammatories but it worked.

Within an hour the pain had gone....mind you it's slowly coming back now....but will make it in to work tomorrow....I hate being off.

Managed to get to the quiz tonight....but no drinking after the drugs cocktail....good job I got there...or we'd have been a player short.
