It's life, Jim

Beth's Birthday

It was Beth's birthday today, she made it to 13. I haven't "known" her long, 5 months specifically, but I know she's such a caring dog. I was being a little grumpy at the time, due to being sick of just sitting around all day. I get it's my fault as I'm too stubborn to stop feeling awkward at others houses, but it gets so frustrating, and painful, to be in the same spot at once. So Richard decided we'd take her for a walk to celebrate and maybe buy her some things. We started off in the park, it felt like she knew it was her birthday because she was so joyful running around like nothing could stop her. But then her hoop got thrown too harshly and it went into the river. She spent so long looking for it, even two older ladies had a conversation with Richard on how he's broken her heart for losing it! So there was one present idea: a new hoop! Then we went down to the local pet shop. She went for a sniff all around the pet shop, only this time she held back because she got told off last time for stealing food! Beth and I looked at the Christmas things while Richard picked out a cosy new bed for her, she's yet to actually use it though! He also bought her a squeaky ball which she played with on the way home. I started off kicking it because I didn't want my hands to get dirty, then Richard tried and he kicked that past a gate: losing this toy too! Luckily, he was able to retrieve the ball and I continued to kick it for her. He tried to kick it again almost to "show off" and yet again, it went the wrong way, so yet again the ball had to be retrieved. I took the bed off him because he was holding it in a stupid manner and it annoyed me, and continued playing with Beth until we arrived back at his home. He also got her some "doggy pizza" and "Pawsecco" and "doggy beer" which later on in the day I over heard Richard and his family talking about how badly it smelt with it's "disgusting" aftertaste which made me happy that I was being a grump and stayed upstairs! I continued to be a grump and left just after 4pm so I'm unsure how the rest of Beth's day played out.
