field of dreams

This field of dreams has gone from a nice combined elementary school grounds and city recreation field to an eye sore and health hazard. When install it was 2 nice green fields but the Cities Parks allowed it to be destroyed by over use. Although the San Diego Padres baseball team contributed moneys to the original development it was seldom used for baseball and only occasionally by used by youth football. The fields have been in use and destroyed by over use by soccer teams and hardly ever available for the locals to use for sports or play. The problem is not soccer but the number of people of people they allow on the field in a night (50-400). The city use to replant the fields 3x/year. With the shortage of money in the present recession, the city parks have cut back and stopped replanting. Now we have a nightly dust bowl and breathing problems.
