Older than me

This Evesham Gold Royal Worcester casserole dish belonged to my Dad's mother, Anne (Jean) Boyd Corse.

I can't tell you why but I took a real liking to this dish.  After Grandpa Corse also passed away, Dad gave me this dish.  

This dish is no longer in production but the pattern is.  Sixteen years after being given this single dish, I put the dish pattern on my wedding registry!  We got several pieces to add to this dish, so it was no longer lonely!   

For several Christmas' following, my parents continued to add to my dishes.  I have complete settings for 6 as well as serving bowls, platters, flan dishes and even some discontinued napkin rings that my sister & Mum found in a shop in Chapel Hill NC.  I have put a couple of the platters on my wall as decor, I like them so much. :-)
