Today's the day ........................ to tidy up

I was out in the garden today - hacking back the dead vegetation ready for winter - but this Cirsium rivulare 'Atropurpureum' was actually still in flower.  

It really has been flowering for months and is much loved by bees and other insects.  I'm pretty fond of it too and wouldn't be without it in the garden ..........................
