Crocodile Clip Macro

When seen this close up it is quite evident where the crocodile clip got its name from even to the extent of the hinge forming an eye. Strangely Wikipedia its silent on its origin but one can't help thinking that inventor was inspired by the jaws of a crocodile which hardly ever let go of their prey once it is caught.
