Twenty-seven sleeps...
Time to get the sprouts on :-)
Alan's new sitting room is looking very festive and still loads more stuff to put out. He really has gone to town on his first Christmas in there. And the Christmas music is blaring. Of course that's perfectly normal whatever time of the year it is, but at least we are entering the proper season and I don't have to put up with odd looks from the Tesco delivery guy as he brings the shopping in July to Noddy Holder hollering "It's Chrrrrrristmas!!!!!"
We had an absolutely lovely lunch with Susan and Paul today. I said in yesterday's blip that it was 20 years since we'd seen them but I miscounted, it's 21 years! Alan was only four months old and their first daughter Sophie was only two weeks old!
Ele and Kenny joined us and as we sat round the table eating lunch, the years just melted away. So lovely to catch up with what they'd been up to over the years as well as reminisce and laugh at shared memories of loved ones no longer with us. Even Lola was well behaved (Susan was brought up with two golden retrievers so was very happy to meet Lola ) and was friendly but not hyper.
Susan and Paul left just before five. Ele and Kenny stayed on for a little while then left when David took Lola out for a walk.
Now reading this week's lesson for my photography course. I am delighted with the feedback I got for this week's work and hoping I can spend decent time on this week's work. It needs to be done before Friday as this weekend is my best pal's 50th birthday so we are out with them in Glasgow on Friday night, they are here for a get together on Saturday night then we are off to Gleneagles with them on Sunday. I have got absolutely nothing planned for Monday! :D
