Dabbling

This swan was keeping a beady eye on me as it was dabbling for weed to eat. I was grateful for a brisk walk round the Rowing Lake to blow the cobwebs away, though sadly I missed the best of the sun. 

I did manage to sneak out in the garden for a few moments this morning and took a couple of sunlit shots of the Cosmos, which are still flowering despite several frosts, and the wonderfully rich reds and orange leaves of our Spiraea (see extra)
