The Captains Wood, Sudbourne, Suffolk
We woke up feeling rejuvenated and stomped off in our wellies for a lovely Sunday morning walk through The Captains Wood. It is an ancient peaceful wood full of deer and bird song and huge old oak trees. Beth loved it although scared a huge herd of deer away by her shrieks of delight when she saw them. The Horse Chestnuts here are just beginning to warm up their spikey balls and we wondered what stories the old trees could tell. A magical place.
