The second visitor
This is the second seal pup that has come up into the village this week. There are a lot of grey seals in the bay, and with all the wild weather, gales and storms, many of the pups are being washed off the beaches.
Like yesterday's one, this too has moulted and is a good size, plenty big and fat enough to survive on its own, so not in any danger. It seems quite relaxed sheltering between the bins and the garage and is probably having a good rest after its buffeting about! Left to its own devices, it made its way back to the sea without any hassle today. A good job too, as it is bin day tomorrow and the council chaps would have had a job getting past him!
