Off to Warmer Spots

Remember these? Well here are some being taken away in the little red tractor to winter in a more sheltered and warmer spot.

The guy driving the tractor couldn't remember their name, but said they were from the banana family of plants, which made me like them more and more. Sadly he then told me they don't produce bananas!

CarolineJay suggested they are Canna Lilies, which according to Wiki are an agricultural plant with rhizomes rich in starch.
