Just a parrot's life

Update about my male quaker parrot Paulie

Last Tuesday, in the morning just before going to work, I gave my male quaker parrot Paulie his meds (Atorvastatine and Pentoxifylline) which he needs the rest of his life because he has Atherosclerosis (In Dutch: aderverkalking). When I put him back in the cage he fell on the cage bottom and acted VERY scared and freaked out... I took him out again to calm him down... put him back again and again he fell and acted weird... Not funny when such a thing happens when you need to go to work but in the early afternoon my friend Conny checked him out and he was okay and sitting next to his girlfriend Blue. It sure scared me, but he is okay now and I ALWAYS watch him carefully.. will also tell my avian specialist dr. Yvonne van Zeeland. Maybe the amount of meds needs to be adjusted?? Selfie with my sweetest boy who is the sweetest cuddliest quaker I ever had/have! <
