Bit of a Wait !

The Blasket Islands which are off the coast of Kerry, Ireland are now uninhabited and are only accessed during the summer months for tourists etc.  There are 6 islands altogether and The last inhabitants left in 1953.  It was a totally Irish speaking community.  For those Irish and old enough to remember it was also the home of "Peig Sayers"... who wrote that dreaded book .....
