Verandah with Purple Petunias & Exellence Award

I knew it was going to be a late night tonight so I had a little fiddle this afternoon........going for another Pep Ventosa....it was difficult as the pain in my back has been wicked....everything has taken twice as long as it should and there has been no rest inbetween.
The most wonderful thing though is that tonight was very special.
Jaiya has been awarded a certificate for excellence for her school work this year. I feel very proud especially that she has overcome many hurdles to achieve this...and the stuff she creates is well ....excellent....only 2 in her whole class got invited.
So tonight we donned our good cloths and went up the coast to the cultural center for the awards...not my thing .......and I was in a sweat having to stand up for ages for canapes and drinks before I could find a chair...getting up and down stairs was well...rather challenging.... but wouldn't miss it for the world.
Glad to be home and not far away from bed.
