Angiogram
Went in to work for three hours, before driving home again and picking Mr L up to take to a hospital in Canterbury for an angiogram. I had planned to work from home in the morning, but due to a backlog from yesterday, had to be in the office for at least some of the day. Everything went well, it was a private hospital, that is taking some of the NHS patients to relieve the waiting lists. What a difference! We were taken to a conference room, with newspapers, Orange and apple juice, bottled waters and biscuits. It almost made the two hour wait for him bearable! initial results encouraging, but full results in January after the ecg in December.
The tree is in the Queens Room and is a reflection of the tree pictured on the front cover of the London illustrated News in 1848, with Queen Victoria and Albert and several of their children standing around it. albert had brought the German tradition of having a decorated tree inside the house to his own house and when the people of England saw the magazine, they all wanted a tree just like the Queen. So, the German tradition was born in England too.
It has seemed like a long week, glad it’s Friday tomorrow.
