Late For School

We've been watching this new school rise up for over some time now and it appears to be getting close. The top floor here reminds me of a city prison's exercise yard... I've not seen anything like it. I have blipped it before from the front by the canal.

It was supposed to open in October 2016. Since then there have been 7 or 8 delayed dates and currently it is scheduled for mid February 2018. The old victorian school building up the road is now up for sale while still being used. We have a friend who teaches there and they are still not confident the date will be met. This is apparently the contractor's first contract on the British mainland... at 18 months late, it might be their last. I can't imagine being part of this school and go through these delays, it must be torture.
