Waxing Gibbous
No quite a Full Moon, but you never know what the sky will be like on Sunday when it is due - so just in case it's cloudy then here it is at 1.30 am today Friday. It's a Super Moon which means it is the closest it's been to Earth for a long time and won't be this near until November 25th 2034. Doubt whether I'll be here to witness it - or for that matter, given the state of things to day, whether the Earth will be either. The name most commonly used for the December Moon is the Cold Moon, but various Native American tribes have names like Snow Moon, Wolf Moon, Long Nights Moon. Snow Moon fits best for me though - see yesterday's blip:)
