The bird bath survived the night and thawed out in the midday heat of 5°C.
( see yesterday's entry).

My struggles with the squirrels continues.
I have planted over 200 bulbs and these pesky varmits continue to dig them up, nip off the tender shoots and roots, chew on the bulbs and leave them scattered across the lawn.

So I have embarked on a revenge strategy. I watch them burying their acorns and peanuts (not from my garden), then dig them up, brush them off and eat only half of them, strewing the pieces over the lawn in contempt.
