Otter pool
When you plunged
The light of Tuscany wavered
And swung through the pool
From top to bottom....
(very short extract from The Otter by Seamus Heaney)
Actually I didn't see him but I did see the light of Tuscany, and there was evidence in the tufty grass that he had been around. What a beautiful day to welcome in December, crisp and cold. I worked in the garden accompanied by a fox, a robin and a host of chattering sparrows. Then I went down to the sea to sit on a rock and stare. Beautiful.
Apologies for lack of comments and pix etc but the computer saga continues. First Brian the computer man thought it was my motherboard (eek) and it required more attention. More attention and he blinded me with technology and HImself went in on my behalf. Looks like it's the body and will either necessitate a whole lot of fiddling and dismemberment, or a new laptop. Aaarghh. We are now looking at how to extract the data which hopefully is unaffected. The data mainly consisting of a million images of holy wells.
Talking of which - there is a new blog
And should you need something to watch on chilly winter evenings, we have just ploughed through Godless available on Netflix- fantastic stuff, Lady Mary from Downton Abbey as you will not have seen her before. Amazing cinematography too. Scarves will be needed for the more sensitive.
