Surgery

The G5 went under the technological knife today.
The operation: Harddrive transplant.
The old 160GB master drive breathed it's last breathes earlier this month leaving me with a big aluminum box that could beep and flash a gray image of a folder with a question mark flashing on it.

Since the new MBP has taken over as work machine, I am transforming my G5 into a big ol media server. I will be slamming a big 1TB drive and finally fixing the 256MB graphics card upgrade.
Looking forward to having central home for all my photos and music without paying the price of super slowed performance.

And yes, today was a rather Geeky day.
