Christ the Worker

Today, Mr MD and I paid a visit to the very impressive Blackburn Cathedral.   This is a huge statue of Christ the Worker hanging over the main entrance, looking down onto the nave.    It shows Christ with the Weft and Warp from the cotton industry which was so important to Blackburn, and acknowledges the Weft and Warp of life.    We then enjoyed a delicious Cream Tea in the Cathedral's Cafe Northcote.
