Box Hill Viewpoint
Having spent most of the morning dealing with one of those chores most people in large corporate companies face - the annual appraisal - I headed eastwards to Kent, for a weekend with Mum. On the way I stopped off at Box Hill for a welcome coffee and some fresh air.
After a dull start, the clouds had cleared to blue skies and sunshine, albeit a trifle cold. My walk took me through the woods with rare English Box, from which the area takes its name, and some wonderful light from the late afternoon sun (extra). I was then treated to a glorious sunset over the Surrey Hills looking toward Dorking.
