Thanksgiving Sunday

These kids were outside a shop, as we walked down the street, on Sunday. Thanksgiving is not a holiday that is celebrated in Ethiopia, at least not this weekend (Perhaps they celebrate American Thanksgiving (but I doubt it)).

Anyway, we were near the Gabriel Church, apparently one of the more important Ethiopian Orthodox churches in the city. I'm guessing they were just coming from Sunday school. They didn't mind having their photos taken, and were happy just to see the photo on the back of the camera.

We had gone to a pretty sumptuous brunch at the Sheraton that day, and were walking over to pick up Sunil from his friend's place.
