Gâteau

Highlight of my day was probably a walk which lasted no longer than 15 minutes before exhaustion set in and it was back to the drawing board. Also made a cake in the microwave too though, which has to be an achievement right?! Recipe:-
- 4 tbsp flour
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa
- 3 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 egg
Mix altogether then microwave for about 3 minutes on the highest microwave setting

Tastes more like a sponge pudding than a cake, but when you have no oven in your apartment and you really need cake...it's more than welcome! Wish I could have ate more though...

Watched some very factual and interesting television programmes for a large majority of today, things that normally I would never find the time to watch. So, today's list instead of being French words will be things I didn't know about processed foods:-
- British wine = from concentrate, made in other countries
- Mass produced black olives are oxygenated green olives
- Lemon wax is made from beetle excretion
- Reformed ham is cured using nitrates (stuff in gunpower)
- Tinned fruit has the pith and membrane taken off it by adding HCl, and then caustic soda
- Seafood sticks are made of fish protein, and the red bit is dye

Makes you wonder really.
