Getting into the mood
Useful Saturday at home. Wine tasting at the vineyard close to us (Erich Meier) to stock up the local wines for the winter season (Sparkling Brut, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Barrique). Afterwards a visit to the garden center Vanoordt in Stäfa to get some Christmas thingies such as candles, wreath and flowers (extra).
Late afternoon run at 0° but with some sunny spells. Cooking started as soon as the Christmas deco was out and the dozen candles lit. Chunks of raw beetroot and different carrots with thyme roasted in the oven. Added some lobster and scallops for the last 15 minutes. Sour cream and. a bottle of Sancerre were already waiting on the table.
