Ajman
Well, whilst some of you are shivering in low temps, here in the UAE, the weather is perfect to do outdoor things! Not sure about swimming in the sea, but it was very comfortable standing outside, viewing this and taking pictures!
Today, I had a bit of a Whats App chat with the web developer first thing. He is promising tomorrow! However, since he hasn't shown me any of the updates, I think there will be some tweaking that needs to be done first.
And then we had notification of the venue for lunch. Ajman! The tiniest Emirate... not too far away distance-wise and on a public holiday, but any other time, one would not contemplate doing the trip. We had a superb buffet lunch at the Kempinski. One of the first five star hotels to open there in the 1990's. I could not believe how many international chains have now joined their ranks.
There is a group shot in the extra, as well as some other things that caught my eye (and I had the time to capture!) We drove home taking in as many of the old sights as we could, seeing as we hardly ever get to Sharjah or Ajman. Ajman have come a LONG way in the last decade, and we noticed that they have changed their traffic lights but putting a smiley for red and a heart for green!
We haven't caught any of the fireworks this year, but that's okay. A much needed quiet evening.
