Ghanaian funeral

Pastor Daniel's brother had died just before we arrived and he had a lot of arrangements to make for the 2 day affair.
First there was the lying-in-state in a room on the house. People came. shook hands with everyone on the front row (and a few more, esp the white people) before viewing the body. There was then a service followed by the burial, most people wear black for this part but family and some others wear red or white and black.
Then a pause for lunch and the afternoon part where many came (still in mainly black) and there was a lot more hand shaking. It's also traditional for the guests to give money to help toward costs and the amounts given are all announced!
It finished about 5.30pm, just before it got dark, then back to the house for more food
