Railway Children's Christmas walk.
Yesterday was Malham, and today we did the Railway Children Walk from Haworth Station to Oxenhope, Haworth village, Oakworth and back to the station.
Santas Special was running and so we saw the train several times along the way.
Always one of our favourite walks especially at this time of year.
Love to see the town all trimmed up for Christmas.
This year we were serenaded by the Haworth Ukulele Group, as we sat having our lunch outside side the museum. We then followed them down to the Church, where they played on the church steps.
Everyone was in such a happy mood.
We then walked down the main street, looking in the shop windows as we passed.
On to Oakworth where we sat outside on the platform in the warm sunshine, waiting for the Santa Special to pass by.
Can't believe how we all had to take our coats off as it was so warm!
A lovely, walk, on a beautiful day. Just touched with a hint of sadness as we remembered our dear friend Pat who passed away earlier this year.
This was a walk she always led, and how she would have enjoyed being with us ,sat in the sunshine, on that platform today.
RIP Pat. We will always remember you with great affection.
