Caerphilly Castle Supermoon

Tonight is a supermoon (full moon) that approximately coincides with the closest distance that the Moon reaches to Earth (221,526 miles) in its elliptic orbit, resulting in a larger-than-usual apparent size as seen from Earth. Today it rose about 4.30pm. Photo's are best taken not long after it rises from the horizon and the thick cloud didn't help as I waited looking at Caerphilly Castle and it's famous leaning tower.

It was very bright and cast a good reflection on the moat. The next time a Full Moon will come even closer to Earth is on 25 November 2034 - Not too long to wait then!
