Mossmorran, Edinburgh and the Stars
Tonight, inspired by some of last nights shots of the Aurora Borealis and of the Flame at the Mossmorran Oil Refinery I decided to go out and get some nights Shots.
So off we trekked, trying to pick somewhere close to Edinburgh were the Light Pollution was likely to be significantly less than in the city and not wanting to go any further south. So we parked at Longniddry Bents and I set up and tyred to take some photos of the Stars and the Mossmorran flame. No sign of any Northern lights, however there was lights of another kind.
Honestly every 2 minutes there they were driving round and round in circles flashing lights at each other like deep see jelly fish flirting. Wrecking my shots with light pollution, it was of course the Doggers! Have these people never herd of Internet porn or dating? Is A cold dark beach car park really that much more attractive?
I got some OK shots but none I am very happy with, I like the plane turning in this one, hence why I picked it to blip. Some more reading, practise and a better location is needed. Suggestions welcome.
I've put some of the rest on Flickr here: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjCq7pmH
