Holy Guacamole...

...it’s the Batmobile. The wee fella is into all things Batman just now. So when we saw that the actual car from the 1960s TV Show was at the Riverside Museum for one month we had to take him.

So after Church yesterday we set out on our wee surprise and he was pleased. It was a hit or a miss as he sometimes thinks the 60’s show with all it’s cartoon words popping up is a bit lame compared with more modern incarnations of the winged superhero. But he was happy so that is good.

I think the Mammy might have been a tad more excited. I remember having a toy replica of the car growing up...wish I had held on to it. It was cool, it had wee red bits of plastic that popped out the thruster at the back as supposed flames.

The real thing was beautiful...it was big...with big wheels and it was shiny with it’s bat logo resplendent...oh how I would have loved a wee seat in it.

Grateful to have been able to see this artefact of 1960’s, DC Comics, Batman popular culture up close.
