Looks like a large lathe ....

Monday again so a trip to the mart at St Boswells with some more cull cows. The council still faffing around fixing a road that they have been at for over 2 years now so a back road detour was required. Didn't help when I met the council bin lorry coming the other way !
Called in at my mechanic pal's again to collect various repaired items on the way home. This was one of the bits of kit in his workshop . A hefty lump of metal . It also got my brain thinking about the chicken and egg situation. How did they machine the parts to build the first ever lathe ?
Back up the road in time to empty an artic load of fertiliser then off into town to collect Junior from school tonight just in time for rush hour again . Have done a lot of driving today and not much else !
