Youth

We were about half way to our grand destination on the adventure we'd dreamed of.  It was 1975 and we decided to move from the suburbs of Boston to California.  We bought a used VW camper and packed up our stuff and headed for the Golden State.  We had the "stuff" sent ahead to a friend of Jon's and took the necessities with us - the cat and a sewing machine (!).  Not sure why that was in the front seat of the camper, but it was as seen in the photos.  We stayed there for about 4 years, Jon got his degree in Environmental Sciences and I started mine (finished later at Rutgers in NJ - his home state).  Life was simple and fun, but then in some ways it still is.
