High Summer

Another 26 degree Celsius day here at Lake Tarawera and we were up and washing down Hermione Cottage by 8.30am, then weed spraying, remaking wooden steps(Dr D) and several other asks before lunch.
At 10'clock I joined Tarawera Times and went for my first swim of the summer. Rather fresh to start with but absolutely velvety smooth and so refreshing as we waded in past a flock of about 30 odd scaups then swam right out into the bay and round the island before returning to shore.
Such a treat! Now back in Hamilton, I shall just have to wait about 3 weeks before we return for our summer stay till February and luxuriate in a daily swim with Meg .
