The baking shelf
It didn’t take long to get back to being home with all the things that currently go with it. Catching up on a myriad of things to do when you get back, ending with a 3 hour safeguarding children in rugby course for me in the evening.
It’s important stuff in this day and age when so many children have suffered from abuse of all sorts and where adults have failed them. But it is not the most uplifting way to spend 3 hours, filling you with despair as to the lengths some people will go to to inflict harm on young people and the lengths we have to go to prevent it and to ensure we don’t overlook any signs.
On a happier note, Turkey and trimmings ordered and a ham. Planner made for this month. Now all we have to do is get the tasks done and more importantly enjoy the coming 3 or so weeks.
After the picturesque shots from the Lakes we’re back in the more usual images. This is of the baking shelf. I bake a lot of bread, albeit usually in a bread maker but with lots of different flours and added ingredients. Not chocolate and biscuits though, but that is worth a try in a sweet loaf.
Thank you for all your comments over the past few days. I’ve been very poor at replying while we were away. Hopefully, today will be better.
