Kal by the fire

Time for Basil's annual jabs at the vet this morning. Afterwards, we strolled by the Grand Union Canal.

This afternoon, we went to see Sue and her new kitchen, which looks terribly smart. She said she'd followed my example and bought some red tiles to be put up behind her cooker to act as a splashguard.

The greyness seemed to increase the chill in the air. Sue had put on her wood burner. Kal was monopolising the space in the front to warm his backside.
