WHITE-NECKED HERON......

... found today "down on the farm"!

Have mentioned before in the area along the mighty Nepean River there are many horse studs, and some quite famous and large.

Checked out the yards on the Princes Farm Stud late this arvo.

The horses were relaxing in the late sun, then further along found this white-necked Heron feeding with it's mates! 

One of them looked very majestic as it watched what I was doing.

After quite awhile, the heron finally took off looking quite weird head on.

... oh, and I did end up getting a sort of shot of the Super moon with a whisper of cloud the other night, and although it was a day late from it's closest position to Earth it still looked quite something. Been told by Bobs Blip will have to wait another 35 years for the next one..... mmmm, should be okay!!! ha ha...
