Some fall on stony ground

I took a lot of photos of Autumn colours but this acorn caught the eye so I thought I'd share this one.

Interesting bird spotting moment just before this photo was a throw back to the week in Norfolk - overhead heading East over the Pennines around 300 Pink Footed Geese. I wonder of they will reach the Norfolk coast ?
