A two Merlin day

Rather like Otters when you can have long periods of doubting their very existence, I find Merlins are the same. Then suddenly one can be inundated with them - well two in close proximity anyway.
Britain's smallest raptor, they do make up for their diminutive stature by agility, speed and basic fierceness. This one showed well as I was walking on  South Uist whilst Tricia span with her coven.
Gin tasting in the evening followed by a supper with neighbours provided the evening's entertainment.
