TASSEL

Wondering if there was a specific name for the brightly coloured rope twist on the canal boat, I put the word tassel into Google Images. I got a lot I wasn't expecting but eventually, scrolling past many a tassel in various positions, I found one which looked more nautical. It was described as a Mast Dropper for a narrow boat. My, but I certainly saw some sights during my educational foray!
