Good for a laugh
I picked up a second-hand book yesterday about childhood in Britain between 1900 to 1970.
It's a joy to read, with many things I'd forgotten from my own childhood in the 1950s - now I remember that weekly dose of Syrup of Figs !
This little news item about the baby and the bowl, like a scene from one of the old-fashioned seaside postcards, made me laugh like a drain. Which is always welcome.
