Busy day

House work, shopping, washing, morning tea at a new cafe, visit to the school for presentation day. Now we have two for the night while their Mum and Dad borrow our car to pick up a new ( for them ) boat.

Maddy won the award for academic achievement for year 2. Both she and Leo were in the activities and choir. We were pleased to hear the school was the highest in the district for the NAPLAN testing ( not sure what that stands for but it is a measure across the country in years 1 and 5 for reading, writing and arithmetic). The teachers are all lovely and seem to enjoy their work. Maddy is only 8 and almost finished the Harry Potter books, they are great to get kids reading. When we got home we had a sewing lesson. First up was making Christmas stockings. Next was knitting lessons. ( oh boy that is hard). Then I taught Leo naughts and crosses. Cooked tea and now need to sleep.

Tomorrow we are minding Bryan and Kristy's four boys as well as its their wedding anniversary.

It's lucky I have a garden or I would have to give up blipping. This easy one for Flower Friday was at the back door.....
