RSPB Radipole

This morning we went for a walk, with an RSPB guide around Radipole - the reserve in Weymouth behind the bridge. Great morning - we saw 22 herons - protecting themselves from the wind, a water rail just by the discovery centre, a bearded tit, a kestrel, male and female stone chat, Marsh harrier, great spotted woodpecker , and a chiffchaff - we would not have known several of these if it were not for the guide.
Later we walked along the seafront Preston end of Weymouth then went over to Portland to Fancy’s farm - just living retirement in Dorset!
